Silent Hill Movie Poster Finalists Announced

I remember playing Silent Hill for the Playstation and boy...was that a scary game. Now that Sony's Tri Star Pictures is producing a movie based on the Konami video game series, I am hoping it is as fun to watch as it was to play.

The movie is set to be released on April 21, 2006. While the movie itself won't be as interactive as the game was, the selection of movie posters will be an interactive experience. As of now, you can navigate over to WelcomeToSilentHill.com and vote on five different posters to be used to advertise the film. The winner will be revealed on February 22.

The film's premise will have an original story line and will be about a mother's search for a cure for her only child. She ignores advice that her daughter should be institutionalized and heads for an abandoned town. Her daughter goes missing and as she searches for her in the strange town of Silent Hill, she begins to realize there is much more going on there than a girl gone missing.
