Gametap Signs New Publishers

Gametap, the broadband video game subscription services, has expanded its vault of games by signing three new publishers. Gametap announced on Tuesday that they agreed to licensing deals with SNK PLAYMORE USA, Interplay Entertainment Corporation and Riverdeep Inc.

This will allow them to add such classics to their service such as Ikari Warriors, the Clayfighter series, Earthworm Jim, Ninja Commando, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego and Oregon Trail.

The Gametap service costs users $14.95 a month, and currently provides unlimited use of over 300 Arcade, PC and home console video games.

Earthworm Jim was a fun game back in the Genesis and Super Nintendo days and who can pass up playing Oregon Trail again? And does the addition of SNK mean the possibility of NEO GEO games? I sure hope so.
